Global Bites With Marta
A Culinary Journey Around the World
For Kids (Ages 4–12)
In this 12-week journey, children explore foods and cultures from around the world while developing real kitchen skills, confidence, and independence.
Each week, young chefs travel to a new country through food, learning about global cultures, preparing dishes together, setting the table, and enjoying the healthy meal they created.
Global Bites with Marta: A Culinary Journey Around the World
Global Bites with Marta at Jardin Infantil Academy inspires young chefs ages 4–12 to explore the world through food and hands-on cooking experiences.
Each class takes children on a journey to a different country. Young chefs discover where the country is located on the map, learn about its culture and traditions, and prepare one of its traditional dishes.
Through cooking, children experience how food connects people, cultures, and communities around the world.
What Young Chefs Will Learn
- Develop practical cooking skills: Learn real kitchen techniques such as measuring, mixing, chopping, kneading, assembling dishes, and safe food preparation.
- Explore world geography and cultures: Each class introduces a new country. Children learn where it is located, what foods are traditional there, and the cultural stories behind the dishes they prepare.
- Practice table etiquette and presentation: Young chefs learn how to set a table, present their dishes, serve themselves, and practice simple dining manners while sharing a meal together.
- Cook and enjoy their meal together: At the end of every class, children sit down as a group to enjoy the food they prepared, building community, confidence, and pride in their work.
- Build independence and confidence: Cooking encourages creativity, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment as children create and share something they made themselves.
Multilingual & Cultural Exploration
Cooking is a global experience. As children explore different cuisines, they are also exposed to multiple languages.
In addition to Spanish and French, young chefs practice simple words and expressions from the country they are exploring, helping them connect language, culture, and food in a fun and natural way.
